Hey, I’m Lisa.
My inspiration comes from the places I’ve traveled, from the warmth of old European craft and the honest simplicity of Scandinavian design to the calm restraint of Japan.
My eye was shaped in merchandise marketing in Los Angeles and San Francisco, where I learned how composition, color and texture can change the way a space feels. Since then, I’ve built on my interior design degree with NKBA certification in kitchen & bath design. Over the past fifteen-plus years, my career has taken me from boutique luxury design firms to a vintage furniture showroom, where I learned the value of restoring and reupholstering authentic mid-century modern pieces. Most recently, my time at a Boulder-based design-build firm trained me in buildability and construction. Together, these experiences have given me the confidence, language and resources to see every project through, backed by a trusted network of industry peers I value and respect.
What brings me the most joy is the journey we take together, discovering how you live and what makes a home meaningful and timeless to you.
Outside the studio, I’m happiest hosting friends and family for dinner and conversation, hiking with my dog, Lucy, and traveling near and far with my partner. I stay grounded through nature, mindfulness, running & Pilates, or a good book and a glass of wine.

word on the street
Lisa is a quintessential gem! I came into my renovation with a clear sense of the vibe I wanted, and she brought it to life with her sharp design eye, impeccable style and playful creative flair. She introduced me to colors and textures I never would’ve considered, and they ended up being perfect. I’m always getting compliments on my new kitchen and dining room. I’m so grateful for her expertise and am thrilled to have a stunning space to enjoy!
Working with Lisa on the redesign of our home was a revelation. Lisa is an absolute professional - while respecting our vision, she helped us see options for our space that we hadn’t considered, but that continue to elevate the design of our home. She was able to take the loose vision we had and translate it into a coherent, elegant design that hits all the right notes. Plus, she’s genuinely fun to work with! We actually can’t recommend Lisa enough - she’s a gem.
Working with Lisa at L G / I D has been a truly inspiring experience. She brings to each project a beautiful blend of grounded intuition and bold creativity - her design aesthetic effortlessly balances timeless charm with playful, modern touches that make spaces feel alive. Her communication is clear and genuine, always respectful and kind, and she guides the design journey with integrity and heart.
Working with Lisa has been an absolute joy. Her eye for design is incredible and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure every detail reflects your vision. She listens, cares, and always delivers beautiful results -- I can’t recommend her enough.
As an architect, I’ve had the chance to work closely with Lisa, and she brings a rare combination of talent, creativity, and truly contagious energy to every project. She has a remarkable ability to understand design goals and translate them into innovative solutions, all while keeping the process upbeat and enjoyable. Her design-build background shines through -- she navigates the entire process with ease and collaborates seamlessly with architects, subcontractors, and clients alike. She’s trustworthy, efficient, and great at keeping projects moving forward. Most importantly, Lisa consistently delivers beautifully crafted work. She is not only a skilled designer, but also incredibly fun to work with.
Working with Lisa has been an absolute joy. Her sense of style is truly impeccable—every detail feels intentional, elevated, and perfectly balanced. What stood out most, though, was her ability to take our own vision and bring it to life in a way that felt both personal and beautifully refined.
Throughout the entire process, Lisa was open, curious, and incredibly supportive. She asked thoughtful questions, offered creative ideas without ever overwhelming us, and made us feel fully heard from start to finish. The end result is a space that feels like us, only better than we ever could have imagined.
If you’re looking for a designer who blends artistry with collaboration -- and who makes the journey as enjoyable as the final space - Lisa is truly exceptional.
Lisa is a designer I genuinely enjoy working with as a contractor. She has a strong point of view, but she’s collaborative, realistic, and understands how design decisions translate to the job site. Her drawings, selections, and intent are clear, which makes execution smoother and avoids unnecessary friction during construction. She designs with both aesthetics and buildability in mind -- respecting the structure, budget, and sequencing of a project while still pushing for thoughtful, layered spaces. I appreciate that she’s open to dialogue, problem-solving, and field adjustments without losing the integrity of the design. Most importantly, Lisa treats the construction team as true collaborators. That mutual respect shows in the finished product. I’d gladly work with her again and recommend her to homeowners and builders looking for a designer who understands the full process from concept through completion.
Lisa was a fantastic partner in our kitchen renovation, giving us the encouragement we needed to make the bold design decisions we wanted instead of playing it safe. She was warm and easy to work with throughout, and especially talented at narrowing an overwhelming number of possibilities into a few thoughtful options that made each choice manageable.
Working with Lisa and L G / I D on our home remodel was truly transformative. I can honestly say that without her help and guidance, this project simply wouldn't have gotten done.
Her ability to keep me focused and on task throughout the design selection process was invaluable. When I felt overwhelmed by the countless decisions that needed to be made, she provided clear direction and kept everything moving forward. She has a gift for guiding clients through what can be a daunting process, making it manageable and even enjoyable.
What impressed me most was how exceptionally well she understood my vision -- from colors to design to layout. Her work is beautiful. Her extensive connections in the design community throughout Boulder, Denver, and beyond are no surprise given her wonderful personality and collaborative spirit.
I'm thrilled with the results and would highly recommend her without hesitation to anyone considering a remodel.
I've had the joy of working with Lisa Gambiana for the past five years on many remodeling projects. Lisa always bring a professional perspective on the design and function of all the spaces she touches. Her creative design eye has made many of my clients beyond happy. Not only do the jobs look great at the end, but Lisa is very easy to work with throughout the whole process. She is always willing to meet up with clients on site when the tough questions come up. I look forward to working with Lisa on the next beautiful project she designs!
Lisa is truly a joy to work with. Her attention to detail, design aesthetic, and creative vision is a breath of fresh air.
Lisa dials it all in. Every inch has been perfected to include organization, that ‘wow’ factor, and all the function.
She is a rockstar!

- Say hello
We begin with a conversation, over the phone or virtually, to get to know each other and confirm the fit feels right.
- Site visit
We meet at your home to walk the spaces and talk through your wishlist, priorities, lifestyle needs and investment goals, so the scope is clear before anything begins.
- Proposal
We present a tailored proposal with estimated design hours, a clear payment plan and our terms, so you know exactly what you’re investing in before we begin.
- Planning
Once your proposal is approved, we capture images and LiDAR scans so we design from precise, as-built models.
- Design
Floor plans, layouts and elevations come first, then creative direction: palette, materials and mood pulled into one clear vision. We meet every two weeks to review everything together and map out next steps.
- Sourcing
Furnishings, fixtures and finishes are sourced through our trusted network of trade partners, then refined until every selection feels right. The result is drawings and specifications your contractor can build from.
- Realize
Through construction, we act as your design concierge: coordinating with your builder and trades, visiting the site, and tracking every order and delivery, right up to the final install.

Frequently asked questions
Something else on your mind? Ask us anything
How much does an interior designer cost?
Every project is different, so every scope is too. After we meet and walk your home, we estimate your deliverables into a clear, flat-rate proposal customized to your project, so you know exactly what you’re investing in from the start. Our Welcome Guide walks through our services and how billing works.
When should I hire a designer?
As early as you can. Bringing us in before construction drawings and contractor bids means layouts, cabinetry, lighting and finishes are designed together from the start, which saves time, money and second-guessing later. We’re also happy to join a project already underway, or to help furnish and style a finished space.
Do I need an interior designer if I have an architect?
Architects shape the structure of your home; we focus on how it lives and feels inside: layouts, cabinetry, lighting, materials, finishes and furnishings. The two roles complement each other, and we collaborate closely with architects to make sure every detail works together.
Can you work with my contractor?
Absolutely. We collaborate with your builder and trades throughout the project, and if you don’t have a team yet, we can recommend trusted contractors from our network.
Where do you work?
We’re based in Boulder and design homes across Boulder, Denver and the Colorado Front Range. Not in Colorado? We can travel and we’d love to work with you! Our process is the same for local or distance work, and for out-of-state clients we build site visits into the plan to make sure everything is going exactly as it should.
How do I choose a designer?
Hiring a designer should feel like having a design-savvy friend in your corner, someone who cuts through the noise and advocates for you and your vision throughout your project.
Let the fun begin.
